M. Aaron Lay

Biography

Aaron is a native of Elk Valley, Tennessee. Aaron is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Tennessee where he studied as a Whittle Scholar and received a B.A, magna cum laude., in political science with a concentration in public administration. Aaron obtained his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2007. While in law school, Aaron was a member and student editor of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and competed as a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court team that was named a U.S. regional finalist in 2006.

 


Aaron was admitted to practice law in 2008 in the states of North Carolina and Tennessee. Aaron has also been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Aaron is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and American Bar Association.

    Aaron is an associate in the firm whose practice is focused primarily on civil and commercial litigation. Aaron assists his clients in various litigation matters including commercial, construction, landlord and tenant, and general civil matters.
