Biography

Mr. Houston is originally from Abington Township, Pennsylvania, but has lived in Charlotte since 2006.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Houston practiced in the bankruptcy and reorganization practice group of a large international law firm.

    Mr. Houston has represented debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and related matters including prosecuting and defending avoidance actions, defending borrowers and guarantors in foreclosure proceedings, cash collateral disputes, preparing plans of reorganization, and other aspects of Chapter 11 case administration.

    Mr. Houston graduated Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Miami School of Law, where he also served as a member of the editorial board of the University of Miami Law Review.
